E-Seniors (France)

Combating the digital divide affecting the seniors: let’s cooperate for e-Inclusion of Seniors and Healthy and Active Aging. As digital world is expanding and playing a growing part in our existence it remains primarily adapted and oriented to younger generations. Older people find themselves increasingly isolated as more services, information and activities become transformed into a digital format, being more distant and non personal. Governments continue to invest in the development of broadband infrastructures supporting the expending use of the internet. They also try to encourage the training of users within different sub-populations, but excluded populations continue to grow as a result of factors not necessarily taken into account initially, such as ageing and immigration.

Corte dei Miracoli APS (Siena, Italy)

Having become an essential point of reference for the Sienese and Tuscan reality, the Association of Social Promotion "Centro Culture Contemporanee La Corte dei Miracoli" has always remained faithful to a dynamic mix of free creativity and social commitment, becoming over time a unique subject of its kind. The basic idea is the coexistence and mutual influence of the three "pillars" on which the very essence of this association is founded: the social, cultural and educational fields. Already from its spatial location, the Court of Miracles seems to enclose and collect in itself those concepts of centrality and marginality, inclusion and exclusion, which make possible the coexistence of areas of interest only apparently separate, but that in reality can only interact, helping to enrich, year after year, day after day, that vast universe of experiences, stories, events and changes that represent its deepest and most concrete nature.
